Every Acrylic sheet in our collection comes in a choice of the following two finishes:
Beam saw acrylic sheets are cut using a precision saw blade. It gives a clean, straight edge. This finish is a dependable, cost-effective option.
It is ideal for jobs where the edge is hidden or isn't the focus, such as shelving, backing panels and general workshop use.
The Laser Cut Acrylic Sheets are cut using a laser for a smooth, polished edge with a subtle shine. The laser-cut edges are closer to the look of glass. It's the better choice when the edge is on show, such as signage, display units and picture framing.
If the edge will be visible, Laser Cut gives you a more refined finish. If it will be hidden or covered, Beam Saw does the job just as well, as the more cost-effective option.
Whichever you go for, every sheet is cut accurately and checked for quality before it reaches you.
Choosing between 2mm, 3mm and 5mm comes down to one main question: how much strength does your project need? As a general rule, the thicker the sheet, the stronger and more rigid it is, but also heavier and slightly more expensive.

If the sheet will be fully supported and needs to look good, 2mm is usually enough. On the other hand, if it needs to stand up on its own or take a bit of weight, 3mm is the safer choice.
When you're working on a project that needs maximum rigidity, 5mm acrylic is the better choice. It provides extra strength for large unsupported areas and applications where durability matters.
